Getting involved in research about occupational therapy in forensic settings

Occupational therapists are continually reminded and encouraged to provide an evidence-base for their interventions; and this is certainly the case in forensic mental health.  Personally, it has been a worthwhile privilege to carry out research directly related to occupational therapy in a forensic setting. I am keen to work with occupational therapists in forensic mental health to contribute to the professional knowledge base and demonstrate that occupational therapy has meaning and value to those with whom we work. Building the RCOMH research networks: The SIPPS project survey

RCOMH is conducting ‘An international scoping study to identify people who want to be involved in occupation and mental health research, their publications and their perceptions of future research needs’; the SIPPS project. The project team (Katrina Bannigan, Jill Bradley, Bob Collins, Karen Wells) are collecting data now via an online survey.
