York St
John University has recently made
opportunities available through the
Research Informed Teaching element of
the Teaching Enhancement and Student
Success funding for the ‘Students as
Researchers’ initiative, advertised
through the
Opportunities Gateway.
This funding provides the opportunity
for students to assist research-active
staff with their research projects. In
CPD two projects have been offered. One
of these is Making
sense of Higher Education study:
undergraduate students’ perceptions
and this provides an opportunity to
assist Dr Margaret Wood in her research
in this field. The focus for the other
project is the processes of
psychological contracting within the
faculty (Education and Theology) and its
importance in terms of the student-tutor
teaching and learning relationship.
This provides an opportunity to assist
Dr Tony Leach in this field of research.
