Masterclasses We have occasional Masterclass sessions during the year.
We were delighted that Professor Jean McNiff, an acknowledged international authority in action research, gave a Masterclass session in September on Action Research which was an introduction to action research and how it can be used to improve professional practice. This was a great session and generated much interest in the potential of using action research for professional development. On Saturday 3rd March 2012 we will be very pleased to welcome Professor Pat Sikes from the University of Sheffield to York St John University in order to lead a workshop session for our MA students in which she will draw on ideas developed in a book she has recently co-edited 'Researching Education from the Inside'.
If you are not on the MA programme but would like to attend the session then subject to availability of places you can book by contacting Sati Howard at cpdeducation@yorksj.ac.uk Professor Sikes is Professor of Qualitative Inquiry in the School of Education at the University of Sheffield. |
